Gods always got us

This weekend at Trinity Downtown we’ll continue our exploration of the New Testament book of Acts and see how God looked after Paul and those with him in some pretty dire circumstances.

Come join us this Sunday as we see how God has always got us, even when things look terribly bleak.

Please note these upcoming events:

● The annual Congregational Assembly will be held on Sunday, November 17th at 12 noon. Lunch will be provided by the Holy Smokers at 11:30 AM. The agenda for the Congregational Assembly is posted below. Biographies for the 2025 Governing Board nominees are available at the Welcome Desk.

  • Also this Sunday:
    • New Member Sunday is this week. Seven new members will be received. Praise God!
    • This week we will begin to consider what God is calling us to contribute to the financial support of Trinity’s ministries in 2025. Commitment cards and YTD Giving Summaries will be available at the Welcome Desk on Sunday morning and at the Congregational Assembly. Those not in attendance will receive their commitment card and Giving Summary in the mail. There will be a time to bring commitment cards forth during the service on Commitment Sunday, 11/24.
    • The Ladies Circle Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale will be in room 125 from 8 AM to 12:30 PM.
    • Casulana Women’s Choir of Houston will be presenting a concert in the sanctuary at 3:00 PM. Trinity member discount tickets are $10 at the Welcome Desk when purchased in advance.
    • The Fall Food Drive benefitting St. Joseph’s Food Pantry will be in the parking lot. Check the Welcome Desk for a list of needed items.

● In order to have the very best presentation of our existing Christmas decorations, we will have a Wreath Fluffing Party on Sunday, November 24th after the Bible Study Hour. There will be a signup sheet at the Welcome Desk. We need about 10-12 volunteers for this job and lunch will be provided.

Thanksgiving Day Service will be at 9:00 AM on November 28th. Come and thank God for all His goodness and enjoy wonderful music with choir, brass and some of your favorite hymns. Take the opportunity to reconnect…you never know who you  may run into on Thanksgiving Day at Trinity.

Christmas decorating will take place on Sunday, December 1st after Bible Study Hour. A volunteer signup sheet is available at the Welcome Desk. Lunch will be provided.
