Trinity Update 11.01.24

The Gospel on trial again.

This weekend at Trinity Downtown we’ll continue our exploration of the New Testament book of Acts and learn how Paul stuck with the truth to defend himself against the false charges being brought against him in the Roman courts.

Come join us this Sunday as we see how God gives us the strength to do the right thing in all circumstances.

Please note these upcoming events:

● This Sunday is All Saints Sunday when we commemorate the faithful who have gone to glory this year.

● The annual Congregational Assembly will be held on Sunday, November 17th at 12 noon. Lunch will be provided by the Holy Smokers at 11:30 AM. The agenda for the Congregational Assembly is posted below. Biographies for the 2025 Governing Board nominees are available at the Welcome Desk.

  • Also on the 17th:
    • The Ladies Circle Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale will be in room 125 from 8 AM to 12:30 PM.</li>
    • Casulana Women’s Choir of Houston will be presenting a concert in the sanctuary at 3:00 PM. Trinity member discount tickets are $10 at the Welcome Desk when purchased in advance.
    • The Fall Food Drive benefitting St. Joseph’s Food Pantry will be in the parking lot. Check the Welcome Desk for a list of needed items.

● Friendly reminder: Daylight savings time ends Sunday, November 3rd at 2:00 AM. So set your clock back, enjoy an extra hour of sleep and come to church refreshed.

Election Day is Tuesday November 5th. Trinity Downtown is a Harris County Election Day polling location. If you don’t choose to vote early, you can cast your vote here in the gym from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
