But [the lawyer], desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Luke 10:29 ESV
Dear Members and Friends of Trinity Downtown:
What a volatile world we live in. As if the coronavirus epidemic wasn’t enough, our nation is now mourning the killing of an African American man that was caught on video in Minneapolis. Civil unrest is sweeping the country the likes of which we’ve not been seen in the 1960s. We are becoming more polarized, pitting neighbor against neighbor.
There’s never been more hearts hungry for the grace and love of Jesus than right now. How are we to react as Christ-followers? What role can we play (both individually and collectively) to follow our Leader and love our neighbor? This weekend at Trinity Downtown, we will start a new sermon series titled “How to Neighbor”. We’ll discover together the role God wants us to play during this critical time.
If you want to join this weekend’s worship service in-person, please note that you’ll need to RSVP for the specific worship service you want to attend.
If you prefer to participate online, you can either watch the live stream of any service or participate by downloading the “on-demand” worship video, which will be posted on Sunday afternoon.
During this time of crisis in our world, God has given us the opportunity to demonstrate His love to our family and neighbors. Instead of worrying, let’s cast our cares and worries on the strong shoulders of Jesus.
